Long-term OFS treatment beneficially shifts the small intestinal microbiota of rats on a HF diet. Analysis of the SI microbiota collected from rats placed on a HF diet for 4 weeks before a subset was supplemented with OFS in their drinking water for an additional 6 weeks.
