Gut microbiome taxa and metabolite levels differed significantly between CDI recurrent and non-recurrent participants. A Univariate analyses of 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing data found 51 out of 237 amplicon sequencing variants (ASVs) (post-filtering to remove rare or low-variance taxa), were significantly differentially abundant between recurrers versus non-recurrers. B Univariate analyses of LC/MS untargeted metabolomics found 22 out of 1387 metabolites (post-filtering to remove rare or low-variance metabolites), were significantly differentially abundant between recurrers versus non-recurrers.
