The abundance of six N-cycling genes involved in nitrogen fixation (nifH), ammonia oxidation by archaea (archaeal amoA) and bacteria (bacterial amoA), and denitrification (nirK, nirS, nosZ) across samples. The abundance of all genes was lower in the rhizosphere. Organic management increased the abundance of the nosZ gene in both bulk and rhizosphere samples and of the bacterial amoA gene in bulk soil.
