Based off of Bif-TRFLP (bifidobacteria-specific terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism) and BLIR (Bifidobacterium longum/infantis ratio) data. Some peaks in the electropherogram from Bif-TRFLP could correspond to either B. bifidum or B. pseudocatenulatum and are listed as such in their own category.
