Flow cytometry analysis of fecal microbiota collected from 5 healthy volunteers (HV5 to HV9). A first gate was defined to select events that likely correspond to bacteria (A). The second gate (B) was defined to exclude events that were auto-fluorescent in the 450/50 nm channel after excitation with the 405 nm laser. The third gate (C) was defined to select bacteria considered as live after staining with the LIVE/DEAD™ BacLight™ Bacterial Viability Kit. Among them, 240 events stained with anti-F. prausnitzii A2-165 (D) or anti-F. prausnitzii ATCC 27766 + ATCC 27768 (E) antibodies were selected for sorting and cultivation. These experiments were performed once for each of the 5 healthy volunteers
