Recovery of spiked bacteriophages. Soil samples were spiked with an artificial viral community (phage A511, 2638AΔLCR, T7 at 106 PFU/g soil), and phages were eluted with the optimized protocol. Spiked bacteriophage recovery was then monitored in concentration and purification methods.
