Each association between a dietary factor or metabolic disease/risk factor and a subgroup (as identified in the Dirichlet regression models) is represented by a circle, where the size of the circle indicates the significance of the association (size inversely proportionate to P value), and intensity of the color (red, positive; blue, inverse) indicates the effect size. A white dot in the center of a circle indicates that the association remained significant after Bonferroni correction (P < 0.00128)
