Transcript abundance of DIPPS+IPCT genes at various water depths. After calculation, if the copy numbers of genes are lower than 1 copy per reaction tube, we consider them to be 0. Results of 0 and 2 km samples were all lower than this threshold, while others were much higher. DIPPS di-myo-inositol phosphate phosphate synthase, IPCT inositol-1-phosphate cytidylyltransferase, these two genes merged into one in MTA1. The transcript copy numbers in the samples with < 1 copy per reaction were considered to be zero
