Oral administration of LP-8 elevated relative abundance of a wide range of indigenous Lactobacillus species in intestinal microbiota. In the fecal samples, abundance of LP-8 (a), total Lactobacillus spp. (b), as well as the intestinal Lactobacillus spp. of L. acidophilus (c), L. brevis (d), L. casei (e), L. gasseri (f), L. paracasei (g), L. plantarum (h), L. reutei (i), L. rumins (j), L. sakei (k), and L. salivarius (l) were determined by quantitative PCR on day 7, day 28, and day 42 for each of the three regimens
